This was our first time collaborating with a Parisian brand and it certainly won’t be our last. Tucked away in a small courtyard in the heart of Paris, Les Maux Bleus, Salon De Tatouage (Tattoo studio), was the 5th and last stop- for now- of our Lost Cause Flash Tattoo Tour.
Artists: Carin Silver (@carinsilver), Carlo Amen (@carloamen), Krvll (@_krvll_), Sixo Santos (@sixosantos)
Despite doors not set to open until 5PM, some customers began to arrive as early as 12 Noon, eager to book a slot with one of the 4 artists- combining traditional blackwork, abstract, minimalism and vintage inspired artistry. By the time the doors had opened, people were queuing to get in; and all tattoo artists were fully booked up within the first hour.
There’s something about tattooing beneath a glass roof- the lighting complimenting the white-washed and stone walls, contrasting the more dingy back-alley shops you sometimes see in large cities, perhaps what, aside from the rad designs and tattooing know-how, makes Les Maux Bleus so popular with both local and travelling tattoo collectors. Around 100 or more people came to check out the flash that was on offer, with the first 10 customers receiving P&Co tees and merch, and the others grabbing themselves a bunch of free stickers and promo codes. The remaining tees were worn by each tattoo artist who rocked their ‘Lost Cause’ prints and worked through until 11pm when the last tattoo was finished.
The overall turnout and response to the ‘Lost Cause’ flash day was a huge success- when working with a team of insanely talented and like-minded people that we met at Les Maux Bleus, there’s little that can go wrong. We’d also like to give a mention to the guys at @craftciderselection for providing the supplies! Oh and the pizza… Now time to start planning our next tour, who wants in?
