P&Co | The Sateen Collection

We recently dropped our Sateen fatigue collection, which is something we’ve been really excited to launch & talk about. Sateen fabric has a rich history, famously used by the US military on the classic OG-107 uniform during the both the Korean War and the Vietnam war. But what makes it so special? Well, it’s a densely woven fabric renowned for its hard-wearing nature, slubby texture, breathability and easy maintenance. It’s reassuringly tough, but also smooth and soft to the touch, making it super comfortable to wear as well.

For these pieces, we wanted to replicate the patina of vintage sateen, without the weakness that comes along with the use of older fabrics, and we’re super stoked with how they turned out.

Whilst this fabric is pretty easy to care for, we thought we’d share some tips and tricks to keep it looking as good as new:

• Gentle machine wash at 40 degrees
• Wash inside out to preserve colour
• Don’t use fabric softeners or bleach
• Line dry in the shade recommended to prevent shrinkage and creasing
• Warm iron inside out
