Behind the Collection: The Garage Edit

As we roll into the warmer months, we’re excited to present our latest spring collection, Parts & Service; a true homage to the timeless, functional spirit of vintage service uniforms and classic workwear. Inspired by the ethics and dedication of garage culture, this collection draws on the history of mechanics and the output of those who work with their hands. 

From the very beginning, we knew we wanted to create pieces that were inspired by the hardworking uniforms of yesteryear, specifically the garage uniforms and service workwear that defined an era of craftsmanship. The key was to merge the old-school charm of these garments with modern wearability and timeless appeal. We looked at some vintage workwear pieces in the P&Co archives and found inspiration in the worn-in fabrics and the work-branded patches & embroidery. Freshly inspired, we worked on bringing together vintage elements like the bold blue hickory stripe, waxed canvas, and durable cotton twills-  materials that have stood the test of time.

At the heart of this collection, you’ll find pieces like the Speedway Road Jacket in hickory stripe, which draws heavily from classic workwear jackets but is elevated with modern details like embroidered patches and antique brass hardware. The Parts & Service Half Zip Work Shirt and Parts & Service Work Shirt blend practicality and style with their worn yet refined designs, made from lightweight, durable materials that are perfect for layering or wearing alone. It’s about the balance of nostalgia and practicality, creating pieces that work just as hard as you do.

When we started thinking about how to bring the collection to life, we knew it had to be more than just a photoshoot. We wanted the products to speak for themselves- to tell a story of craftsmanship, endurance, and the reality of garage culture. That’s when we began conceptualising the perfect location, a backdrop that would truly complement the vintage-inspired workwear.

We immediately thought of an old-school garage. Not just any garage, but one that has history, that’s seen decades of hard work and wear. A place with grease-stained floors, classic European motors, and a sense of reality. Our half-zip shirt sports the ‘No Spare Parts Here’ label, a message about getting back to basics, showcasing how these pieces are built to last, and how they feel right at home in a space where functionality takes front seat. The goal was to find a setting where the pieces of our second Spring drop could shine, but also truly belong.

The location? An industrial garage in Los Angeles, featuring a collection of European classic motors that served as the perfect backdrop. The moment we walked in, we knew we were in the right place. The garage exuded that authentic, lived-in vibe- everything from the rusted metal tools to the vintage service signage. It was the ideal setting to showcase the Parts & Service pieces, the Nomad Pant, and even the Give ‘Em Hell Sweatshirt. These items are built for people who don’t shy away from hard work. They belong in a space like this: full of history, a place where every tool has a purpose, and every machine has a story.

We had one goal: to capture the essence of a timeless, hardworking atmosphere that echoed the collection’s roots. We chose to highlight the natural textures of the garments, letting the worn-in feel of the garment washes, the waxed canvas finish, and the classic hickory stripe shine through. The vintage charm of the collection looked right at home next to the polished chrome and deep hues of the European classics. 

The Give ‘Em Hell Short Sleeve Sweatshirt came to life against the backdrop of this raw environment, the washed-black colour and chain-stitched details standing out against the mechanics' tools and automotive details.

Every shot was intentional. We wanted to capture that vintage, garage vibe, but also create an emotional connection to the clothing. Our goal was to showcase The Garage Edit as more than just a collection- it’s about putting the hours in, working hard, and showing up every single day, no matter the task at hand. The pieces are built for wearability, layering, and transition, but also for those who appreciate quality craftsmanship. These are items made to last- much like the cars in the garage, they’re designed for endurance.

The backdrop of the garage, coupled with the vibe of the shoot, perfectly embodied our ethos: "If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it." Each piece feels timeless and classic, combining durability with refined, nostalgic details. We wanted to show how this collection works as hard as you do-
