We are focused on creating timeless & inspiring products that stand the test of time. We want our pieces to speak to individualism and go against conventional fashion trends; our brand is built on creativity, community & a spirit of freedom and adventure.
We live and breathe these values every day, but it’s important that we don’t, in all of that, forget to care for our planet. There’s no avoiding the fact that we are part of a multi-billion-dollar industry that produces 1.2bn tons of carbon emissions annually. As a brand, we are focused on working with sustainable & ethical factories, building relationships based on innovation and longevity.
At P&Co, we donate portions of our sales to causes we believe in. We introduce our community to organisations we care about. We continue to challenge ourselves to produce using sustainable or non-virgin fabrics. Most notably, we detest fast fashion trends, over-buying & throwaway culture. We create quality goods that age with you, not age the planet.
The essence of P&Co is one of freedom-seeking and escapism. Our playing field lies within the beauty of our planet & our inspiration from nature and adventure. We are a principal brand that likes to do things our way- this is our never-ending journey to do better.
Made From Organic Cotton
The goal is to have transitioned all of our jersey pieces into organic cotton by 2025. So far, as of summer 2024, 51% of our t-shirts are now made from 100% organic cotton including crafted and graphic styles.
Made to be Lived In
It is so important for us to keep creating products that last. It’s not just the responsibility of consumers to avoid fast fashion, but it is also ours, as a brand, to provide quality yet affordable alternatives- built with longevity in mind. We create truly unique & timeless pieces you want to invest in, hold onto and pass down to future generations.
Nothing would make us more proud than seeing old P&Co products with repairs, patches & personal customisation still worn years later. The final part of the design process begins with the customer- each mark, crease & scuff reflecting a moment in time.
Built To Last
We take pride in producing high-quality goods that are designed to stand the test of time. Our pieces are built to go the distance, with a focus on durability, reliability, and hardwearing materials.
One Button At a Time
According to National Geographic (February 2020), 91% of plastic is never recycled & things like plastic buttons on clothing are a huge contributor- which is why we have made the shift from plastic to plant-based corozo buttons.
Corozo nuts only fall from the trees when fully ripe; any sooner and the material is not usable. Therefore it can only be harvested naturally- helping to prevent the exploitation of this natural resource & ultimately deforestation.
Corozo Buttons
Once dried out & carved, corozo buttons have similar aesthetic characteristics to ivory. They each have a unique grain, are durable and scratch-resistant. Not only is corozo biodegradable, but the production of the buttons also provides Ecuadorian locals with further employment opportunities, and an incentive to protect the rainforest.
Sustainable Packaging
We’re constantly exploring new & more sustainable materials to produce our packaging. Our mailer bags (outer bags) are made from 100% recycled paper & are 100% recyclable. Our current polybags (inner bags) are made from a biodegradable cornstarch which has less impact on landfills and decomposes over time. We are however transitioning to a recyclable & biodegradable plastic composition- while plastic may sound like a step backwards, unlike the current cornstarch blend, it is made from 100% recycled plastic, is 100% recyclable & has an added compound to speed up biodegradability in natural environments. We will move to these new polybags within the next few months.
Our Manufacturers
In order to achieve both our product & sustainable goals, we need to ensure we are working with the right factories. We want to work with manufacturers & suppliers who share our morals & high standards. Most importantly we want to share our process with you- which is why we are being more transparent with our factory locations, history & values.
